That’s right, you read right. Mobile gaming company Jam City has announced that they have a struck a year deal with Pixar and Walt Disney Animation. This deal gives them the rights to create mobile games based on the characters.
Jam City will take over the development of Disney Emoji Blitz. The match-three puzzle game which launched in 2016. Everyone at Disney’s Glendale game studio who’s affected by this will be offered new jobs at the company to continue working on the title.
They plan to make the first game based on the upcoming sequel to “Frozen”. Chris DeWolfe founded Jam City in 2009. He also co-founded and served as CEO of MySpace with former Fox executive Josh Ygaudo. They are known for being the creators of Cookie Jam and Panda. Let’s see how this plays out.
