Microsoft just took the wraps off of Forza Street, the finalized title for what was a work-in-progress game dubbed Miami Street. Today, the new racing game is available as a free-to-play title for Windows 10 users, with Android and iOS versions coming “later this year.”
Unlike Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport, Forza Street throws you into the Miami street-racing life with a complete garage of vehicles at your disposal. You start by picking an event, settling on your lineup, and then racing off the starting line.
Your eventual goal is to own both legendary and classic vehicles, as well as winning races, of course. The developers at Microsoft-owned Turn 10 Studios have also implemented new and streamlined controls for Forza Street that focus on timing for smoother steering, which is especially useful for mobile players.
During gameplay, players will be able to both collect and upgrade vehicles, which range from classic muscle cars to retro supercars and modern sports models. Players will have the opportunity to play short one-minute races for those times they’re on a bus, sitting in a waiting room, or in other moments when free time is limited.
The game, which was previously announced with the working title Miami Street, takes place in the city of Miami. Windows 10 PC owners can download the game from the Microsoft Store now, but it’s unclear when, exactly, the title will arrive for iOS and Android.
